All right, I have officially decided on a Halloween costume. I will be: WESTERNIZATION! Because costumes of an abstract concept pwn you. How's this going to work? ( How indeed? ) Sun, Sep. 30th, 2007, 11:58 pm :#
Also the weird part about papers is that my mind is so warped by mathematical proofs that I keep feeling like I need to derive this paper. Example:
Under the "art imitates life" theorem, we can assume that the depiction of frat parties in Animal House was similar to that in real fraternities. Sun, Sep. 30th, 2007, 08:46 pm Paper juices?
Dunno what's wrong with me, but I can't seem to get the old paper writing magic working. Last semester I was all "Six pages? Here you go!" but now I seem to be agonizing over the most trivial amounts of writing. Since I don't need this class to graduate, my temptation is to turn all the papers into insane rants. With citations. Tue, Sep. 18th, 2007, 11:53 pm
Dear toy companies,
I am aware that there are certain restrictions on the toys that you produce. Some things are not appropriate for children, and I am aware that you make effort to protect yourselves from angry parent groups.
However, the system is broken when you can make realistic pink standing mixers and other kitchen accoutrement but not toy guns that aren't revolvers for playing cowboy. If you're going to have degradingly sexist plastic crap, then you should also have over inappropriately violent toys. It's only fair. Some of us need props for our BB Hood costumes.
Yours etc, Lisa

My very first ever radio show is this Saturday from 2-4PM. I'm really nervous! Tune in, and suggestions of things to say/do are welcome. And no, I don't get to pick the music. Mon, Jan. 15th, 2007, 11:42 pm
Everything's coming up Lisa! I found my Day of the Tentacle disc, although I'm not sure if the Mac is actually taking CDs at the moment, I have cool classes, except back-to-back Ridiculous Group Projects, and I have a new motherboard. I ought to get my Windows disc in the mail later in the week so I can maybe try this WoW thing all the kids are doing.
Other news: RealDolls are super creepy Chocolate oranges are tasty I am still not an internet celebrity Jem was a great show Fri, Jan. 5th, 2007, 03:32 pm
Here's an idea to facilitate the finishing of projects: naked sewing! It's easy. You just take off your clothes and you don't get to put any on until you finish making more. Unfortunately, my roommate gets home at 5, so I can't test this process. |
